Slovenian Living Lab: the Agro-Robotics Living Lab
Opublikowano:
The Agro-Robotics LL serves as a collaborative platform where researchers, SMEs, technology providers, advisers, students, and farmers co-design, test, and validate innovative robotic and sustainable solutions.
On the technological side, the Living Lab will validate and demonstrate advanced solutions in robotic navigation, targeted spraying, automated harvesting and integrated energy and water management through the canopy-based AquaSol system. These developments will showcase how robotics and digital technologies can be effectively applied in vineyards, orchards, and other agricultural settings. In terms of sustainability, the expected outcomes include a significant reduction in pesticide use—up to 30% or more to support EU goals for greener, more resilient agriculture. On a policy level, the Living Lab will provide evidence-based insights that can inform sustainability legislation and guide strategies for digital transformation in the agricultural sector. Last but not least, the Living Lab will deliver clear economic benefits and demonstrate the innovative solutions, which translate to the improvement of the financial effectiveness and to the long-term agricultural resilience.
The targeted stake holders are:
• Academic and research institutions
• Farmers and SMEs
• Technology developers
• Advisers and policymakers
• Students and future workforce.
