About the project

About the project

Agri-Digital Growth is a project delivered by an international consortium comprising nine partners, and co-financed by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE programme. The full title of the initiative is:
“The Precision Farming Ecosystem for Digital Skills enhancement across CE, to support digitalisation, sustainability and specialisation of agri-food manufacturing SMEs in Precision Farming transition”.

The uptake of digital technologies within the agricultural and food sectors remains slower than in other industries. It is therefore essential to raise awareness of the advantages and benefits resulting from digitalisation in the farms and food enterprises.

The project Agri-Digital Growth encourages the introduction of innovations by various activities: creating the education tools, improvement of education systems, showcasing successful case studies and engaging them in hands-on testing of various technologies and through development of the ecosystem fostering of the modern and sustainable precision farming.

Agri-Digital Growth introduces farmers and food businesses across Central Europe to the latest trends in precision and digital farming through targeted training programmes and a newly established knowledge-transfer ecosystem.

As part of the project, the consortium established five Living Labs designed to foster informal, peer-to-peer exchanges of practical experiences and fieldwork among all relevant stakeholders. The Precision Farming Knowledge Transfer Ecosystem – a network of entities of the triple helix  congregates organisations, companies, farmers, public authorities, research and development institutes, and others committed to promoting the adoption of innovation and the development of a sustainable and modern agricultural sector.
